A Porsche 959 Komfort (#171 out of roughly 300 road units in total) wearing the UK plates ‘OJY 959’:
– The car was originally purchased by Peter Grant, the late manager of Led Zeppelin.
– The exterior shade (Weinröt or “wine red” in German) and the interior tan+burgundy tones are exclusive to #171. The seats are trimmed differently as well.
– The car later changed hands to Rowan Atkinson, who paid a fortune just because the colour matched the rather infamous McLaren F1 he had then.
– The current custodian Simon Garnham takes great care of the car and is a wonderful person to talk to.
